I am using the above hardware and software combos on an appletalk network. I am having issues printing to the Plotter. I use a custom sheet size of 34.65 x 23.60 to plot my drawings. The only way I can get them to print correctly is to use my microspot (xrip) printer driver. The microspot driver gives me a ton of different sheet sizes that I can use. The drawings print fine, but it takes about 15 to 20 minutes (depending on the file size of the drawing) just for the plotter to start printing. The time to send and print the file is killing me. Sometimes someone needs a drawing ASAP, but I have to tell them it will be ready in about 25 minutes. I have tried setting up the 800ps through IP Printing, HP IP Printing (which doesn't even find the plotter on our 10/100 ethernet network) and Rendevous. What ends up happening (if I am not using the microspot driver) is that I don't get that many page size options in my page set up window. I get about 20, and the one I need to print my drawings correctly is some sort of Landscape D size sheet, which is not available with the hp driver. I have tried to download a new driver, but the driver is for Tiger, not my OS 10.2.8. Any help any one can offer would greatly be appreciated. Thanks,

Not sure I can help, but when I printed to an HP 650c/ps, it used the same driver as other PS printers (like the HP laserjets) because of the built in PS RIP. An 800 PS, by it's name should have a built in RIP. You need the correct PPD file to get the right paper sizes for the printer, but if you're only getting a generic PPD file, you won't be seeing "Architectural D". I also remember being able to define and save as presets custom paper sizes at the bottom of the menu of paper sizes in Page Setup. It would bring up another dialog to define a custom paper size.
