In regards to the works of photorealistic artists, in particular Chuck Close. Is it possible to make successfully capture the essence of Chuck Close's work (or any artist's canvas work ) into a building without the standard procedure of replicating the canvas on to the facade.

I'm interested in what ideas people have in regards to synthesising art into architecture and creating a successful structure.
