OT: Interesting, clicking on the 'go to new post' icon took me to the end of the first page in this thread rather than to Rolando's post on this, the second page.

| I would be interested in seeing a current hot topic list, that would show the most popular topics/discussions. You can view Macrumors.com to see what I mean, the right hand column shows the whol days most popular threads. Then we can log into the page and see what is the biggest discussion going on. |

Yes, some kind of Hot Topics list could be interesting. But on the other hand, I'm not necessarily thrilled about devices that might mainly serve to add to the popularity-pig-piles and polling-mania that are so prevalent in general media.
Maybe it is enough for people to be able to track what is new, and what is interesting to them, without extra emphasis on where the crowd is clumping?
Esp. since the number of posts/views on a topic are listed, and give much the same info, without making such an issue of it... |
