Probably best to report this to ES. Doubt its a problem that will be resolved by forum as sounds like a bug.

For info 7 does not not work with SL even if you install rosetta so I doubt very much if 6 will.

ES actually say 10.4 is the last supported system. Anyone running above is effectively on their own ...

The attachement method is a little cluncky! Preview allows you to see if its actually attached. Worth noting I think the limit is 1mb. Doubt your file is bigger if its just a symbol tho.
