If the files were created under OS9 this may be the beginning of the problem. I have found that the page setup previously set under OS9 has to be reset in OSX. The situation is similar with both my Epson 1520 and new HP 9650, both are ink jets. The page setup is so badly affected with the HP that no attempt to reset it works. They page always appears as mulyiple pages in PCD's setup window. It's a scaling problem, 400% to be exact. The work around may be to set the page setup scale to 25%. But this should be ideally resolved at the software level, if that's possible.

Users should be warned to check for this issue so as not to find they have to go through a laborious effort to use an older a file under OSX. Maybe ES could look into this to see if it can be fixed or propose a better work around, i.e. export and import with layers respected.

Been there. Done that. But wil try it again.

In this case the page setups and print percentages are all what we want them to be.[/quote]

David,

If you contact us at support@engsw.com we do have an external already that will deal successfully with this issue. Under OS 9 the print drivers were not very consistent about where they stored the page setup information. When this information gets translated into the new OS X printing routines things can get quite strange. The external will simply completely delete the page setup information and force you to reset. All should be fine as long as the files do not go back into OS 9.

Is this different from the one you gave me back around December?

I didn't think these files were anywhere near OS 9 so I didn't use it. I'll try it and see what happens.
