Recently I've got a couple of .dwg Site plan files where, in lieu of contour lines, I get a layer with the trianglulation showing. I've tried to attached the file, but keep getting the error "Upload Error: Could not upload Attachment to ./files/export.tif."

Is there a way in Autocad to save this so I get contours?

What you received was the TIN (Triangular Integrated Network)... The survey software typically has the option to generate a TIN or Contour Lines from the surveyors spot data.

usually the contour data is also there on it's own layer. If it's not - you're best bet is to chat w/the surveyor or file author to ask for the contour data instead.

hope that helps

Brian,

Your right as usual. Surveyor says he needs to save the info as "polylines".
