Let's face it, you guys have lost all objectivity, are irrational, cannot stand to see evidence being placed before your eyes and will go on to commit the same atrocities that modern democracy so claims to oppose.

You can't pin an open mind. You can try. But your error will come back to haunt you.

Argument between secular scientist and c-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t:

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]:

Why can't you accept creationism as science when we have more evidence then you for what we believe?

Secular Scientist: Your evidence in based on religion and belief in a God

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: What is your definition of religion? Just because we believe in the existence of God, this is religion? What if we have evidence to demonstrate God exists?

Secular Scientists: Any belief in a God is religion.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]:: But if God exists, just like me and you exist, they why would believing in Him be a religion?

Secular Scientists: Because there is no empirical proof.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: But we see the fingerprint of God everywhere, you just can't see it.

Secular Scientists: That sounds like religion to me.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: No. If we believe that we can demonstrate God must exist, and we have evidence to support this, and if God exists and is a person, then this also is not religion, cause God has the right then to be called a part of the world, just as much as you and me. So if he exists, then it is no longer religion, but fact. If there is evidence to demonstate He exists, then we have evidence in nature also which confirms the hypothesis that God exists. So it is confirmed hypothesis, has stood the test of science, the evidence can be seen everywhere and verified, and we know it exists, therefore, it is not hypothesis but fact.

Secular Scientists: Anything that believes a God can explain the universe is not accepted as true science.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: So atheism is true science?

Secular Scientists: If you wish to look at it this way. Show us the proof that God exists.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: We are tying to, but you are banning it from the schools, your science magazines, the media and everywhere we try to present it.

Secular Scientists: Modern science today is completely objective and impartial.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: Then show us how life began, and how the first cells appeared.

Secular Scientists: We don't know exactly yet.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: See, if you don't know yet, then all your science which is presenting evolution as the source of life then is only hypothesis because you don't know and have not been able to verify the most fundamental question of all.

Secular Scientist: We will some day. This is the best model we have, so it is accepted as fact.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: What type of science is this?

Secular Scientists: This is all we got to go on, apart from believing in a God.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: Until you are open to the possibility of a God, you will never be able to explain it.

Secular Scientists: Just give us more time.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: No more time is needed. Stop preaching your hypothesis as fact.

Secular Scientists: If we do that then everyone will no longer accept evolution as fact.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: This is circular reasoning and you have no foundation to support your bogus evolution theories. We nailed you turkeys.

Secular Scientists: Hey you religious people are trying to subvert the system with your fanatical religious views.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: Ya, right, I have heard that argument before. You guys are not giving us science, you are dosing at us a refusal to admit to the possibility that there is no explanation, apart from the existence of a God.

Secular Scientists: We will get there some day.

[C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-t S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t]: These guys have no logic, they keep going in circles. The ultimate fallacy of general evolution has been demonstrated and they have no answer for us. General evolution is hypothesis, it is not fact. Stop spewing your lies at us calling it fact.[/quote]

Come on, if you are going to tell us a joke, you got to tell it right.Smile

Who cares if you wish to persecute ArchiMotion.

The entire thread is already compromised by lack of objectivity, as my posts are no longer reading as intended.

Your intentions started off as lies.

This isn't interesting anymore. It's very frightening.

"Creationist S-c-i-e-n-t-i-s-t" is an oxymoron. The two words contradict each other. There is no such thing.

ArchiMotion: Well, sorry, but there are many who do believe S-c-i-e-n-t-i-f-i-c C-r-e-a-t-i-o-n-i-s-m is s-c-i-e-n-c-e.

This false term is asserted by creationists to push forward the false proposition that there is significant science that supports their arguments.

ArchiMotion: Has anyone here really arrived at this conclusion in an objective manner? I think not.

In itself, the repeated use of such a false, inherently misleading term is a kind of lie. Such false, misleading framing is a classic tactic of propaganda and attempted mass deception.

ArchiMotion: If the term exists, why is it a lie?

It is one thing to use the forums to discuss a controversial topic.

It is something altogether different to use them to push a propaganda campaign, a campaign of mass deception.

ArchiMotion: Evolutionists are the ones engaged in this campaign of mas deception, not the other way around. What is the reason for such unfounded accusations around these regions of cyber-space?

We are not about lies and other falsehoods. We are about honest truth and knowledge, which is hard enough to discern when attempted sincerely and directly.

ArchiMotion: I don't care who thinks who is lying. All I care about is being given the freedom of objectivity, which is being denied.

Given the accumulated power of our technological systems to destabilize the very climate of the entire planet, public understanding and honesty about science has become an issue central to collective survival.

ArchiMotion: This sounds more like governmental censorship coming from a "higher order of power," as we see everyday in our world.

There is a limit to how much lying about science these forums are willing to tolerate.

ArchiMotion: If science is no longer tolerated, then poor old Ed will end up getting it in the neck as well.

But is it really science that is being questioned here? I do not think so. It is clear the issues are not so simple as are being painted by various members discussing this thread.

This is only an example of a much greater climate of science and anti-science that is being spewed out at us, with no objectivity to analyze what is truth and what is a lie. We can see then this forum to be a sort of a micro cosmos of something much bigger going on in society - the suppression of individual freedom of thinking, of expression.

Now, if many a members wish to come and keep responding to the thread, why are they responding at all, if they find it not interesting? And why then has this thread had such an abnormal response rate? So now threads that are the most popular, if controversial, are the ones that are now being so carefully monitored to see if they "conform to the system" of evolution?

And why should some be afraid now of debate. I care not who is lying or not lying. Is it lies others fear, or is it debate?

As far as I can see, on other threads around this forum, members are discussing science as well, and politics, sports, any issue. And if many members are responding now, it is because they find a need to respond out of their own choice, as nobody is telling them what to do. They are responding out of their own free will and choice - freedom of choice and freedom to believe in what they want to believe - the very essence of the American Constitution.

First of all, you agree with most modern cosmology theories.

Particularly one created by a priest.

ArchiMotion: Here is only ONE of your accusations Chris:

""DeYoung clearly lied about his credentials so why should we consider anything else he says to be true?""

I have shown proof that: the most excepted theory was created by a catholic priest and: non-physicist have been allowed to make discoveries

You say: well, that was a long time ago and now things are different.

and you expect me to now provide proof that this is not true?

burden of proof is not on me it is on you. this is how science works.

If you propose that something which has been proven true is no longer true you need to show evidence.

The other points you go on to make above are irrelevant to the discussion.

So is Chris or DeYoung doing the lying now?
